Buzzards

We’ve been out a couple of times lately with my Uncle Paul (a proper birder) to see if we can see a goshawk performing its display behaviour.  We’ve seen lots of buzzards (see below) and red kites but no goshawks yet. But weirdly we have seen no sparrowhawks, is this a sign of goshawks out competing their younger cousins?

Paul says that if there is a goshawk there its worth waiting for – and will make it all the more exciting when we do see it. As ever I just want to see it!
