As I was walking my dog this morning I came across an egg-shaped glutinous blob in the middle of the path. When I bent down to get a closer look I realised it was a partially formed egg – possibly from a pigeon as it was the right size and shape.
I gave it a gentle squeeze and it was pliable. Then I realised that it was an egg membrane lacking the shell and that it must have fallen from the tree above but because it wasn’t brittle like an egg shell it did not break. Weird! Anyone seen anything like this before?
