Wildlife in my local patch

More Fallow deer

It’s half term and I’ve had the camera out in the woods trying to get some footage of the fallow deer rut as we have recently heard lots of activity. They are very secretive though and hard to see in the dense woodland. Trying to place the trail cam in a spot which might pick them up is quite tricky.  Here’s a strong looking buck rubbing its antlers on a branch while a muntjac is nearby. he then returns and almost poses for the camera!
