First Swallow for 2015 and other signs of Spring

Spotted our first swallow of the year flitting over a field whilst in the car this morning. Spring is here!

Spring is definitely here going on all the crazy activity in the garden around the bird feeder and the nest boxes. We’ve been trying to capture some footage of a pair of robins that are nesting in the hedge but the trail cam doesn’t seem to pick them up. Really frustrating!    This song thrush had some fun with a big worm the other day in the garden. Took a while to swallow it whole!

We’ve also had a pair of bullfinches eating new shoots in the back garden. Not a very good photo but here’s the best we could do… hanging out of the dining room window!
