Frost Flower reappears

It must have been the perfect conditions yesterday with the damp ground and the frozen air, as the frost flower appeared again in the same location as it did earlier in the year (see earlier post).

Its very strange to see it in the middle of the wood where everything else is green or brown. At first it looks like someone has thrown soap bubbles around. Up closer however the delicate frosty fronds become apparent, seeming to grow out of dead branches. As fast as they appear, they are gone again with an upward change in the temperature.
