Nightingale or Warbler?

Poss Garden warbler

While exploring my new temporary patch I came across a strikingly loud little brown bird in the hedge row. I took a photo of it and recorded it but wasn’t sure whether it was a nightingale or a warbler. I’m still not certain but my guess is that it’s a garden warbler.

In the recording at the start the bird seems to imitate a blackbird. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what it is?

  1. Hi Jack – you’re right – it is a garden warbler, and a good mimic too!

    • Hi Paul,
I totally agree. I am not good with birds but from clips on YouTube it sounds similar! Keep up the good work jackson,
