BirdTrail 2014 – Boldrewood, New Forest

This morning my brother and I, and my friend Tommy, took part in BirdTrail 2014 in the New Forest. It’s run by the Hampshire Ornithological Society, the RSPB and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. About 50 children took part in different teams seeing how many birds they could spot or hear in the New Forest armed with binoculars, sharp ears and their bird knowledge. Our team was the Crossbills and we came third with 36 species.

Chris Packham who lives in Hampshire was there to give out prizes and I managed to get my photo taken with him.
